What Are Seed-Bombs?

Seed bombs can be traced back to ancient Japan when they were used as a farming technique known as tsuchi dango (earth dumpling). Farmers would mix seeds with clay, shape them into small balls, and then scatter them.

They provide a simple, practical approach to seed dispersal, especially for wildflowers making them an easy way to re-wild patches of land.

All our seed-bombs are packed with 100% native wildflower varieties.

Why Native Plants & Wildife?

Much of our wildlife is under threat.  Pollinators, such as bees and butterflies are in decline and wildlife such as hedgehogs are suffering from loss of natural habitat.

Planting native wildflowers is a simple thing that can go a small way towards helping to rebalance our eco system, providing food and habitat for many animals from the humble bee to native birds, bats, hedgehogs and many more.

Locating bee houses, birds nests, bat houses and hedgehog homes is another way to help and they look great in gardens too!
